Madras High Court accepted the way of conversion of Non Hindu to Hindu by hindu organization VHP as valid. The court accepted Shuddhi Ceremony conducted by VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) to re-convert Christian Woman to Hinduism as valid.

The bench of Justice R Suresh Kumar accepted Shuddhi ceremony conducted by VHP to be valid to re-convert back to Hinduism and upheld her selection and appointment as Junior graduate teacher under SC category. The court further pointed relevant government order which allowed such re-conversion & resulted benefits. The court also said that VHP is one of the prominent Internationally famous religious organization for Hindu religion which is constantly and steadily propagating the greatness and richness of Hinduism and Hindu culture this country as well as abroad also.

The petitioner name Daisy Flora changed after conversion to A Megalai had performed necessary pooja called Shuddhi ceremony in November 1998 further after marrying to a hindu man. She further had declared herself from christianity to hinduism. She later also obtained SC community certificate. But later on when she participated in the selection process for junior graduate assistance, she was not being selected on the grounds that she was not entitled as she had re-converted to HInduism and was born in Christian community.

In the Interim order by Madras HC in March, 2005 she was appointed to the post later re-designated BT assistance (Science).
