Fake Patients During MCI Inspection: SC Cancels Admissions In A Medical College In Madhya Pradesh, Orders Enquiry.
A bench of Justice SA Bobde and Justice L Nageswara Rao directed that the students whose admissions have been cancelled shall be accommodated by the state of Madhya Pradesh in such colleges as possible with their merits. The bench also issued notice to the college to showcause why an order to compensate the students for having required them to sit in a deficient college should not be made.
Although the counsel for the college disputed the allegations in the report, the bench observed: “In any case, this Court hereby accepts the inspection since we are not inclined to go into the disputes on facts raised on behalf of the petitioner-college… we are satisfied that the petitioner-college has failed in the said inspection.
So, the Supreme Court has cancelled the admission of students in a medical college in Madhya Pradesh, as an inspection conducted by the Medical Council of India revealed that the college was deficient.
