EVENT: MNLU AURANGABAD GUEST LECTURE
MAHARASHTRA NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, AURANGABAD
The latest one added to the list of National Law Universities in India is the Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad, commenced from March16, 2017. The commencement of the University has fulfilled the aspirations of the people of the Marathwada region for an institution of national importance in Aurangabad. The law university is set to make a beginning with admissions from the Academic Year 2017-18. The University entered into an MOU with the Convenor, CLAT 2017 to make admissions from the merit list of the qualified CLAT-2017 aspirants. The authorities are making all efforts to make the admissions and to provide all facilities to the students who take admission in MNLU-Aurangabad.
VISION
To advance and disseminate learning and knowledge of law and legal processes and their role in national development.
To develop in the students and research scholars, a sense of responsibility.
To serve society in the field of law by developing skills in regard to advocacy, legal services, legislation and law reforms.
MISSION
For the Development and advancement of legal education and for the purpose of imparting specialized and systematic instruction, training and research in systems of law .
GUEST LECTURES
PROF. S.C. SRIVASTAVA
Prof. S.C. Srivastava,presently an advocate and legal consultant interacted with the students on the 19th of March 2018. He is also the Secretary General of the National Labour Law Association, New Delhi. He has been a Visiting Professor in the Indian Law Institute,New Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology (New Delhi) and Indian Institute of Management (Rohtak). He talked about the scope and prospect of labour laws in India. The discussion revolved around the development and current position of labour laws in India.

Professor Alam is the first MHRD Chair Professor on IPR at the NLIU, Bhopal. He has a vast experience in teaching, designing and developing courses on Common Law Method, Law of Contract, Intellectual Property Rights, International Trade Law, Sociology of Law, Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Banking Law, Legal Writing, Science-Technology and Law, Biotechnology and Law, Civil Procedure Code, Seminar on: Law and Information Technology, Law and Nuclear Technology, and Law relating to Carriage of Goods.Dr. Alam has delivered around two hundred lectures in various programs organized by the institutions of national repute including: National Judicial Academy, Bhopal; IIT, Roorki; HNLU, Raipur; MANIT, Bhopal; RGPV, Bhopal; IIITM, Gwalior; IIFM, Bhopal; ICAI, New Delhi; CII, and FICCI. He has organized more than thirteen workshops and conferences. Prof. GhayurAlam visited Maharashtra National Law University on 9th and 10th Marchwhere he gave lecture on theLaw of Contracts to the B.A.LL.B. (Hons.)first year students. He discussed about the various rules and laws of contracts and even conducted a questionnaire session. He probed and explained the intricacies of contracts and discussed in detail the various landmark cases related to it. In the series of his lectures, he encompassed the many facets of law and tried to deliver the same to the students. He also enlightened the students about the various developments and changes taking place in the legal arena.
